We are looking for an experienced Family/Systemic Therapist or Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join the Adult Eating Disorders Service in Devon (CEDS), working 30 hours per week (0.8 wte).
You will take a lead role in developing and delivering specialist Family Therapy/Systemic interventions for clients, their families, and carers across the Eating Disorder pathway. CEDS is a large multi-disciplinary team including specialist senior mental health professionals, assistant practitioners, psychologists, psychological therapists, psychiatrists, dietitians, and a physical health team. We pride ourselves on being a caring and supportive team who look out for each other and support regular supervision and continued professional development.
This new post could play an important role in building excellent working relationships to support transitions between services for our younger clients referred on from CAMHS, where family interventions are the evidence-based recommendation to support recovery, as well as contributing to family and carer involvement in the wider CEDS service. Knowledge and experience in Family-Based Interventions for Eating Disorders would be a significant advantage, but further training in this approach could be available for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job

This will include joint working with other specialist teams and the wider community mental health service at times. The post holder will be able to support and work with colleagues, offering specialist supervision, consultation, and psychological formulations. Experience in working with people with severe and complex eating disorders is highly desirable and a commitment to increasing access to evidence-based psychological interventions.
The candidate will either have a doctoral level training in applied psychology (or its equivalent for those who trained before 1996 or outside the UK) as approved by the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) with further specialist training in systemic/family therapy OR will be a UKCP registered Family/Systemic practitioner with the appropriate accreditation with a relevant professional body for systemic practice e.g., AFT.
