Contract: Full Time
Salary: £26,000 p.a
Position: Home Collections Officer
Employer: Traid
Reporting to: Logistics Manager
Company Overview:
Traid is a UK registered charity (297489) working to tackle environmental damage and social injustices caused by making, consuming, and disposing of our clothes. We are the only charity in the UK dedicated to the collection and reuse of unwanted clothes. Every year, Traid stops thousands of tonnes of wearable clothes from being thrown away. We collect clothing via our free home collections service, a UK-wide network of clothing donation banks and over the counter in Traid charity shops. The clothes collected by Traid are then hand sorted at our warehouse in Alperton and sent to our charity shops for sale. Traid’s iconic charity shops provide a sustainable alternative to buying new clothes and fashion. Traid also raises funds for projects that support the people who make our clothes such as organic cotton farmers and providing day care centres for the children of garment Workers. There are lots of ways to find out more about Traid’s work. The best place to start is our website www.traid.org.uk, social media channels www.facebook/traidcharity, www.instagram.com/traid, www.twitter.com/traid.
