FM Search & Select Ltd are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Soft Services Manager to oversee operations at a prominent static site in Edinburgh. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of all soft services on site.\n\nYou will be the main point of contact for client interactions, ensuring high levels of service delivery, compliance, and team performance. This is a hands-on management position suited to someone with a strong background in facilities or soft services management and a passion for delivering operational excellence.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Service Delivery: Oversee the day-to-day delivery of soft services across the site, ensuring contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met or exceeded.\n\n * \n\n Team Management: Lead, supervise and support a team of operatives across multiple service lines.
Manage rotas, conduct performance reviews, and coordinate training and development.\n\n * \n\n Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders. Act as the primary contact for all soft service-related matters.\n\n * \n\n Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities are carried out safely, in line with company and legislative requirements. Conduct risk assessments and ensure staff receive appropriate training.\n\n * \n\n Quality Control: Conduct site audits and inspections regularly to maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety.\n\n * \n\n Contractor Management: Manage subcontractors on site delivering services such as pest control, landscaping, waste disposal, etc.\n\n * \n\n Budget Management: Monitor service budgets, control costs, and report any variances while ensuring optimal use of resources.\n\n * \n\n Reporting: Produce operational reports and updates for internal and client use, including KPI performance and incident reporting.\n\n * \n\n Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for service enhancements, innovation, and process improvement.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nEssential:\n\n * \n\n Proven experience in a soft services or facilities management role\n\n * \n\n Strong leadership and team management skills\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication and client relationship skills\n\n * \n\n Understanding of health & safety regulations and best practices\n\n * \n\n IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, service management software)\n\nDesirable:\n\n * \n\n IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent H&S qualification\n\n * \n\n Experience working on a static commercial or public-sector site\n\n * \n\n Experience managing multiple soft service lines\n\n * \n\n Budgetary and contractor management experience
