Role Overview:
As a Senior Designer / Designer you will be responsible for supporting the preparation of detailed cost estimates for construction projects, aiming to secure some of the UK's most prestigious projects for Lindner Interiors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create technical drawings for interior fit-out products (ceilings, floors, partitions, etc.) ensuring modern construction techniques and materials are utilised.
* Attend design meetings, liaise with clients to establish design briefs, and coordinate with cross-functional teams (including other trades and technical quality teams).
* Provide value-added input to ensure buildability, construction efficiency, and cost plan adherence, identifying and documenting design-related risks and mitigation strategies.
* Efficiently prepare and deliver high-quality design outputs, including drawings, technical submissions, schedules, and specifications.
* Assist in material selection by preparing specifications and conducting basic evaluations.
* Proactively monitor and report on design output and activities, taking corrective actions to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery.
* Provide timely support during the tender process, including design budgets, programmes, technical reviews, and drawings.
* Collaborate with the technical quality team to ensure design output excellence and support subcontractor selection through documentation and evaluation assistance.
Person Specification:
* Experienced in creating CAD drawings for the interior fit-out/architectural sector (partitions, floors, ceilings etc).
* Excellent knowledge and experience with technical details for products such as ceilings, architectural and structural glazing, glazed and metal claddings, balustrades, SFS and curtain walls, dry lining, RAF system, FR and NFR doors.
* Experience using 3D, 2D, AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
* Individual thinker capable of actively contributing to the delivery of team performance.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office packages.
* Enthusiastic to learn and develop within the role.
