We are looking to recruit an excellent Nursery leader with a strong track record in raising standards, community working, and developing relationships. This is an exciting and highly rewarding role as it provides a real opportunity to make a difference and improve the life chances of our youngest children and families.
Are you a committed leader who models the highest expectations for children and our community? Stepping Stones Nursery is a delightful and engaging nursery; this is thanks to a strong team of staff who expect the best, have excellent relationships, and a strong commitment to giving children the best start in life. You will continue to develop these teams and relationships to further build a Nursery in which children succeed in all aspects of their early development. Working with a variety of leaders across the campus will be a key priority.
The Nursery is situated on a vibrant campus that includes Southway Primary School (3 – 11 years), The Regis School (11-18 Secondary School), The Arena Sports Centre, and The Phoenix Centre (Community and Youth Centre) – all under the umbrella of The United Learning Trust. It is crucial that the successful candidate works collaboratively with leaders from these different settings to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for all our young people.
As a leader within United Learning, you will be joining a team of highly skilled colleagues from over 100 independent and state schools who work collaboratively and share a vision of bringing out the best from everyone. You will have strong practical support from all the main ‘back office’ services and from a central education team. Your career and development will benefit from the wide range of opportunities and the professional development support that a larger organisation can offer.
We are keen to receive applications from a diverse range of candidates, including black and minority ethnic leaders who are currently under-represented at leadership level. Whoever you are, if you have a strong track record of enhancing early childhood education and a passion for nurturing young minds, we would love to hear from you.
We would welcome the opportunity to show you around our campus, meet some of our leaders and explain how this role will positively impact the lives of so many children and families. We can’t wait to meet you.
The nursery will be closed over the Christmas period from 6pm, 23rd December until 7.30am, Thursday 2nd Jan. To arrange a visit to the nursery and the campus please email: diane.willson@southwayprimary.co.uk or call 07889 461651.
N.B. Southway Primary and The Regis School close on Friday 20th December.
The closing date for applications is 8.30am on Monday 6th January 2025.
The Nursery is committed to safer recruitment processes and ongoing safer working practices. Members of the staff at the Nursery including part-time staff, temporary and supply staff, and visiting staff are subject to the necessary statutory child protection checks before starting work, for example, right to work checks, additional overseas checks (if necessary), verifying identity, taking up references, checking work history and confirming medical fitness for the role.
