Job summary We are looking for an experienced and motivated analyst to play a pivotal role in the development of the Trust's analytics provision. The successful candidate will be expected to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team providing expertise to define and establish reporting requirements to improve operational delivery and support commissioning and costing processes within the Trust. The role also includes the line management of the Commercial Analysts providing leadership, guidance and support where required. The role requires gaining a detailed understanding of data and reporting requirements through extracting, processing and analysing the data recorded and presenting its findings to support Trust staff at all levels. You will be expected to offer guidance and interpretation to ensure analysis is both appropriate and useful to users, producing comparisons and trends, summarising findings and investigating any areas where data quality issues are identified. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills in SQL, SSRS, and Excel, or strong experience of similar technologies and the ability to adapt quickly to using these. NHS experience would be a strong advantage, but significant analytical experience gained working within a large and complex organisation will be essential. Main duties of the job You will work as part of a close-knit team, offering analytical support to the Specialty Groups and must be happy to work on-site. Once established in the role, there is some flexibility for hybrid / home working although, there will be a minimum requirement to work 2 days on site.
