Step Teachers are seeking an experienced General Science Teacher located in Finchley commencing in February 2025. This full-time position is for 39 days initially, with potential extension based on performance and school discretion.

Your duties as a General Science Teacher:
* Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons in line with the National Curriculum (or equivalent).
* Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
* Provide differentiated learning opportunities to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Use innovative teaching techniques, including practical experiments and demonstrations, to enhance the learning experience.
* Regularly assess and track student progress, offering feedback that supports their academic and personal development.
* Work closely with colleagues to continuously improve science education across the school.
* Promote the importance of science in everyday life and inspire students to pursue further study or careers in STEM fields.
To be considered for this General Science Teacher position, you will:
* Hold a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) and a degree in a science-related field.
* Have a passion for science and a desire to share that enthusiasm with students.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* Be able to deliver engaging, interactive, and practical lessons.
* Have experience as a General Science Teacher for Key Stage 3/Key Stage 4.
* Be committed to ongoing professional development and innovation in teaching.
