Daily Rate: £90+ per day
We are seeking a dedicated full-time Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Towcester, starting in May 2024. Please see further information below:
This independent day school caters to children aged 8 to 18 who are on the Autism Spectrum and may face additional challenges. It offers a tailored, stimulating, and supportive curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting Senior Learning Support Assistants and Teachers in preparing tailored resources that align with individual learning plans.
Delivering one-to-one support during skills-based sessions under the guidance of the class teacher.
Collaborating with the class teacher to monitor and document student progress using evidence-based methods.
Supporting students in understanding their learning objectives, practicing new skills, and encouraging independence wherever possible.
Contributing to the overall support framework necessary for student wellbeing, engagement, and learning participation.
Adhering to and actively following Safeguarding procedures and policies.
Essential Qualifications:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at a minimum
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role within a school setting is preferred but not required. This position includes some additional duties beyond a standard Teaching Assistant role.

Strong organisational abilities to handle daily responsibilities effectively
Capacity to manage and prioritise various tasks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
