To support our continued growth, we are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our expanding, driven team! This candidate will ensure the efficient delivery of all allocated Projects from contract award to successful client handover. They will be expected to safely plan and coordinate projects, delegating to Project Coordinators and Site Managers, holding them to account and regularly reviewing their contribution and performance to company expectation and standards. The Project Manager will be accountable for all project deliveries and will drive accuracy, profitability and client satisfaction, whilst accelerating brand reputation.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Assessing Scope & Contract:
o Understanding scope and commercial parameters and obligations to deliver the overall scope within agreed contract requirements and budget.
o Identifying any potential pre-deployment variations and performing a critical review and assessment of lessons learned from previous projects.
o Arranging and carrying out client introductory calls/meetings with all main internal and external stakeholders.
2. Mobilisation of Projects:
o Plan site assessments in line with projects requirements, i.e site survey, audits and inspections.
o Management of project schedule and programme alongside the required resources, including (but not limited to) site management, subcontractors, plant & equipment and materials.
o Allocate internal resources to project, to include (but not limited to) QHSE, Site Management/supervision, Project Coordinators and Procurement.
o Ensure all site entry requirements for site team are in place. This includes specific provisions such as training and any access and/or permit requirements.
o Assembling and coordinating the Project Delivery Team, allocating relevant responsibilities and creating clear lines of communication and escalation.
o Ensuring work instruction/RAMS are issued to Site Management and subcontractors.
o Heading management of site safety and quality throughout the project delivery.
o Leading the Projects Team to delivery the project from site stage to final account stage, demanding high standards of safety, quality, Operations and Maintenance (O&Ms).
o Ensuring compilation of site diaries/site change records, pre-condition and active works records and photographs.
o Managing all client communication and collaboration whilst nurturing client relationships.
o Allocating, budgeting and controlling costs throughout the project cycle to keep all expenditure within approved budget.
o Manage project delivery to programme, developing a work breakdown structure to manage tasks and timescales.
o Drive all Applications for Payment/invoice submissions to Commercial Manager in line with contractual requirements and ensure that all required information is provided in a timely, concise and substantiated format.
3. Closure and Evaluation to Specification and Satisfaction:
o Conduct an Evaluation to assess Project Team’s productivity – issue Project Review survey to stakeholders to assess quality of project delivery.
o Ensure preparation and delivery of all required handover/project completion documentation and ensure this is issued to clients.
o Managing Project Coordinators and Site Managers by way of line management functions, such as day to day point of contact for employee needs, holiday planning, scheduling, department cover and employee satisfaction.
o Manage project programme and schedule, ensuring adequate resource allocation.
o Maintain budget tracker, capturing all costs associated with project delivery.
o Regular review of personal and team performance, either informally through feedback when required or formally through monthly reviews against individual/departmental KPIs.
4. Customer, Client and Brand Relations:
o Ensuring positive customer and client relationships, in order to retain existing customers and attract new ones.
o Mitigating risk and delivering high quality work and services that meet or exceed customer expectations.
o Building and maintaining a strong and consistent brand image that aligns with the business’s values and mission.
o Ability to identify opportunities for Lead Generation and existing clients through creative thinking, innovation and problem solving.
Minimum Requirements:
* Previous experience in the power, civils and construction industry.
* Minimum 2 years’ team management experience.
* Prince 2 Foundation (or equivalent), with a view to completing Prince 2 Practitioner.
* Fire Warden certification.
* Confined Space Awareness.
* Electrical Awareness.
* Environmental Awareness.
