Investment Director - Infrastructure Equity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Investment Director to join a dynamic Infrastructure Equity team in London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities within the infrastructure sector. This position offers the chance to work on high-impact projects and contribute to the growth and success of our investment portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with the firm's objectives. Lead the evaluation and due diligence processes for potential infrastructure equity investments. Negotiate and structure investment deals, ensuring optimal terms and conditions.
* Monitor and manage the performance of existing infrastructure investments. Provide strategic guidance to enhance the value of portfolio assets. Collaborate with asset management teams to ensure operational excellence and financial performance.
* Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the infrastructure sector. Prepare and present investment proposals and recommendations to the investment committee. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry developments that may impact investments.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and industry professionals. Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions. Ensure effective communication with internal teams and external parties to facilitate smooth investment processes.
* Assess and mitigate risks associated with infrastructure investments. Implement risk management strategies to protect and enhance portfolio value. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
* Demonstrate strong leadership skills to lead and motivate teams. Possess excellent project management skills to oversee multiple projects and investments simultaneously.
* Bring a deep understanding of the infrastructure sector, including regulatory frameworks and market dynamics. Utilize industry knowledge to drive investment decisions and portfolio growth.
Qualifications and Skills:
* A degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven track record in infrastructure equity investments, with at least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
* Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. Proficiency in using financial software and tools.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
* Strong network within the infrastructure and investment communities.
* Fluency in a European language is required (German, Spanish, Nordic language preferably).
