Main duties of the job About the Role The role will be leading the theatre department team and ensuring the day-to-day operation reflects the highest standard of governance, clinical effectiveness, and standards of care. You will be an experienced Theatre Practitioner or have had experience as a Lead or Senior Theatre Practitioner, using your advanced knowledge and experience to guide and support your team whilst actively being involved in the delivery of patient care. You will be responsible for the logistical and procedural processes within the team, ensuring policy and governance is strictly adhered to whilst maintaining the smooth operation of the team. Ophthalmic scrub experience is preferred but not essential as full training is available for suitably qualified RGNs / ODPs with at least 2 years post qualification clinical experience in a secondary care setting or similar.
