Being part of the Grid Automation team as an Engineering Manager, you have full responsibility for the successful execution of engineering substation secondary systems in AC substations. You will manage and lead teams in charge of technical solutions design, fulfilling customer specifications and engineering standards, checking and ensuring compliance over the domains, obeying laws and regulations. You will plan and allocate resources and budgets to engineering activities, committing workforce proficiency and capability to conduct the assignments in time and quality. Teamwork with Bid Managers, Project Managers, and suppliers in the field of secondary systems is your key to success.
How You'll Make an Impact
1. Protection, Automation, and Control system specification handling for AC projects.
2. Allocating resources according to capabilities and availability.
3. Ensuring all customer functional and technical requirements are fulfilled.
4. Taking corrective action in the event of divergences from the schedule.
5. Providing technical support to the rest of the business unit team where requested, including preparation of technical and commercial customer offers and subcontractors.
6. Implementing Continuous Improvement programs for engineering solutions, standardizing and digitalizing lean engineering processes.
7. Researching new technical solutions for secondary systems.
8. Supervision and quality assurance of the engineering team, including subcontractors/suppliers during project execution.
9. Taking responsibility for quality, time, and costs of own results.
10. Coaching and mentoring team members to embrace teamwork spirit.
What You Bring
1. Completed degree in electrical, electronic, or equivalent engineering, automation, or similar.
2. Extensive professional experience in secondary systems engineering.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of engineering standards applicable to the local market.
4. Working experience with cubicle assembly factories, protection and automation design, testing, and commissioning teams.
5. Leadership experience with intercultural teams.
6. Deep knowledge of secondary systems manufacturers leaders in the local market.
7. Experience working in brownfield and greenfield projects for secondary systems in HV substations.
8. Digital solution understanding and previous experience. Working knowledge of tools needed for electrical design, parameterization, and configuration of secondary systems solutions.
