This role is available to current employees within IT Services at the University of Leeds only
This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you a highly skilled, delivery-focused Solution Architect with experience of contributing to successful business change programmes? Do you have exceptional business and IT systems architecture skills? Are you interested in supporting the delivery of the university’s digital transformation?
We are looking for an innovative Solution Architect to join IT at one of the largest universities in the UK to develop and implement systems architecture to meet business needs.
Reporting to the Head of Solution Architecture and contributing to the Solution Architecture practice of the University, your primary role will be to:
1. Analyse business and technical requirements and develop solution architectures for project delivery.
2. Assist with the development of solution architecture assets and accelerators such as university integration principles and design pattern libraries.
3. Focus on solution architecture elements such as functional software selection, mapping of functional requirements to solution components, application integration, and data migration.
4. Evolve the architecture of our Dynamics 365 solution with an emphasis in the CRM, fees, and marketing space.
You will work collaboratively with project managers, business representatives, end-users, and technical teams within IT and the wider university to deliver systems that support effective and efficient business processes and align with university strategy.
You will also:
1. Analyse requirements and functional specifications, assess the current software systems in place to develop your proposed solution architectures.
2. Support development teams in the delivery of the architecture once approved.
3. Regularly update the university’s IT governance groups on any developments in systems architecture.
If you thrive working in a complex and varied environment, this is an exciting opportunity for you to make a real difference in a world-class organisation.
