Role Summary The role is a technical stage manager for a touring production visiting holiday parks around the UK. The TSM operates the technical elements of the show, including mixing sound levels, Qlab and firing pyrotechnics. The touring company consists of 5 actors and 1 TSM. Full training on the role will be provided. Who Are You? Role & Responsibilities: Operating the show, including mixing sound levels, Qlab and firing pyrotechnics. Training will be provided Assisting the rest of the team with get ins, set ups and get outs of a small touring show. All equipment/set/scenery fits into one van, and all the touring crew and cast are responsible for get ins, set ups, and get outs. You could be the perfect person for this role if you: Can commit to the full contract dates (dates below) Have a full UK driving licence Have worked as a sound technician, general technician in a theatrical/production discipline or have worked as an assistant stage manager, stage manager or technical stage manager Have a keen eye for detail Can work well under pressure Are proactive with a problem-solving attitude Salary & Benefits Summer Rehearsals: £825.30 set fee Summer Go Live: £2381.50 per month, pro-rata October Rehearsals: £275.10 set fee October Go Live: £2381.50 per month, pro-rata Accommodation and Transport provided Full training on the role and all equipment is provided Employment Information Contract: Worker Contract. Working Hours: 43hrs per week. Location: Rehearsals at our London/Luton Campus – The Granary Touring in one of the following UK regions – Scotland, South East, South West, Wales or Yorkshire Dates Scotland – Summer Tour: Rehearsals: 17th June – 26th June 2025 Go Live: 27th June – 29th August 2025 South East, South West, Wales and Yorkshire – Summer Tour: Rehearsals: 14th July – 24th July 2025 Go-Live: 25th July – 29th August 2025 All Tours – October Tour: Rehearsals: 3rd October – 5th October 2025 Go-Live: 6th October – 3rd November 2025 Additional Detail Once rehearsals are complete, the touring team of 6 will travel in the touring vehicles directly to their first venue or accommodation. There are between 7-8 venues and shows per a 6-day working week. The venues are located all around the region the team is touring. The tour schedule is repeated weekly. The below outlines a rough schedule. This could be traveling from North Wales to South Wales and Somerset along the coast; travelling to the venues and hotels in-between. Monday – Venue 1 and Venue 2 Tuesday – Venue 3 Wednesday – Venue 4 and 5 Thursday – Venue 6 Friday – Day Off Saturday – Travel Day Sunday – Venue 7 This is an example only and is not an actual schedule Accommodation Rehearsal Accommodation: Basic university accommodation. You will share a flat with a communal kitchen and facilities with another team. Touring Accommodation: Travelodge or equivalent on a shared room basis in twin rooms.
