Are you an experienced and compassionate nanny with a background in caring for premature babies and toddlers?
A fantastic three-day nanny position is now available in Benego, Hertfordshire. You’ll be assisting a stay-at-home Mum in caring for her two boys—a two-year-old and his newborn brother. The baby had a challenging start being born early, but now at six weeks old, he weighs 9lbs and is thriving. They are seeking a nanny interested in a long-term commitment to become part of their loving family.
In addition to being organised and understanding the importance of routines, you should have extensive experience with newborns, a warm nurturing approach, and a strong rapport with toddlers.
The hours for this role are Wednesday 08:00-19:00, Thursday 08:00-19:00, and Friday 08:00-17:00 (31 hours/week). There is potential for this to also be a four-day role – the salary would be adjusted for this optionAdditional hours for babysitting and potential holiday travel will be mutually agreed upon and paid as overtime at the hourly rate.
Your primary focus will be supporting Mum with both children, seamlessly transitioning between their care as needed and confidently taking charge when required. Flexibility in this role is a must. At times, Mum may leave both children with you while she attends to other tasks, or she may take one child for quality time. Occasionally, you may all do something together.
The parents are eager for their children to learn and grow in a balanced way, achieving developmental milestones through stimulating indoor activities like sensory play, imaginative games, reading, puzzles, and crafts, alongside plenty of outdoor play and park visits. As they grow older, the parents hope for the children to participate in playdates and groups to ensure their happiness and safety. The family lives in a spacious home within walking distance of parks, local groups, and town amenities.
In addition to general childcare duties (feeding, changing, establishing routines, etc.), responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and organisation in areas used by the children (kitchen, bedrooms, children’s bathroom, playroom, etc.). Nursery duties involve managing children’s laundry and providing healthy, nutritious meals daily (preferably homemade). As the baby grows, meals should be age-appropriate and prepared in advance, frozen for weekend use by the parents. A weekly cleaner is employed by the family.
A careful and confident driver with a clean licence is essential, and a duty car is available for use.
