More information can be found at www.herefordshire.gov.uk/floods You will need to: • Oversee and coordinate flood risk management for surface water, groundwater, and ordinary watercourses. • Provide expert advice to elected Members, officers, communities, and stakeholders on flood causes, sources, and solutions. • Work with key partners, including the Environment Agency, water companies, Internal Drainage Boards, and neighbouring councils, on flood risk, drainage, and planning. • Manage flood risk and drainage projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery. • Provide technical advice to internal teams, stakeholders, and communities on flood risk management. • Manage works on the highway network to ensure that specifications are met. • Advise on planning policies related to flood risk and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS). • Lead investigations, manage consultants, prepare business cases and develop flood management schemes, including Property Flood Resilience. • Respond to public enquiries, complaints, and ensure issues are resolved effectively and professionally.
