We are looking for a Group Marketing Director with experience of senior marketing leadership in multi-site retail/consumer facing organisations. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer the successful candidate will have responsibility for leading, developing and implementing the marketing strategies and activities that underpin the development of the brand as well as the delivery of a fully integrated strategy across all communication media and channels. You will be required to analyse the key market opportunities across the entire business and develop and adapt marketing and brand strategies to maximise these for the groups’ benefit. Group Marketing Director – multisite retail/consumer Key remit and Responsibilities • Develop and implement an integrated multichannel brand strategy across paid, earned and owned activity to drive sales and brand health for the short and long term • Develop strategic plans to maximise sales and margin and gain market share through increasing customer engagement and the development of market leading category campaigns ensuring cross functional collaboration • Through customer insights, develop and define interventions that are personalised to each customer segment • Budget development and management – critically and objectively manage the balance between long term value enhancing activity, short term sales drivers, and digital investment • Drive and report critically on campaigns and budgeted ROI • Lead, build and develop the team, towards high performance and delivery • Manage agency relationships to ensure “right fit” partners to enhance and cost effectively develop the brand • Visibly lead and educate the business in optimising sales and margin driving activities and brand awareness tactics, frameworks and tools Experience • Extensive experience of senior marketing leadership in multi-site retail/consumer facing organisations, translating strategies into deliverable plans - prior experience of a growth transformation would be advantageous • Demonstrable experience of and ability to develop new, commercially sound strategies at board level, with a passion for delivering outstanding customer engagement • Demonstrate gravitas to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors and board members • Strong transformational and team leadership experience, with the ability to identify skills gaps, develop capability and build a team • Comfortable with fast paced, high delivery environments with some ambiguity and fluidity • Experience of end-to-end brand development, activation and measurement leading to enhanced brand awareness • A demonstrable ‘anything is possible’ attitude that inspires credibility and reliability Please submit your CV via LinkedIn.
