The Opportunity
We are searching for a full stack PHP developer to join the Curriculum & Learning Build team for six months from December 2024 as paternity cover. This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking a secondment or looking for experience of working in Higher Education. Responsibilities include designing, coding, reviewing, testing, deploying and maintaining services, code and databases in an open-source Debian environment.
What you will need
You must be highly proficient in the required programming language of PHP and have experience of source code management and revision control. Experience of Moodle development, configuration management/automation, container orchestration and continuous integration tools would be desirable.
So why us?
You would be joining an agile, innovative team working to provide applications and services which have high impact and visibility. We are committed to supporting our new team members and have built an environment that fosters knowledge sharing and consideration of others.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced developer seeking a fresh challenge or a secondment, to have a transformative impact on the student experience of digital learning and further their own career with a global leader in Higher Education.
Please contact Steve Powell (s.powell@lancaster.ac.uk), Curriculum & Learning Delivery Manager, if you have any questions or concerns and would like to informally discuss the role.
