We pride ourselves on our superb patient satisfaction scores and high standards of care and are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic practice nurse to join our existing team on a part time basis, for 27 hours per week, with flexible working hours considered. Main duties include: Management of long-term conditions (diabetes, COPD, spirometry, and asthma). General treatment room duties. Wound management. Women’s health including cervical screening. Child health/travel immunisations. Infection control in conjunction with our other practice nurse. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience: A relevant nursing degree. Current NMC registration with an active PIN. Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course (General Practice Nurse Foundation Programme) or equivalent experience or qualifications. Competence to undertake asthma, COPD and diabetic clinics and reviews, holding relevant certificates or be willing to work towards these competencies. Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation, phlebotomy, ECG recording, screening, Working towards management of long-term conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations and immunisations, dressing and wound care. Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice. Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions. Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
