A school in Rawtenstall has contacted Teaching Personnel to help them recruit a full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant. The school caters for 11-18 year olds with SEMH who display challenging behaviours. Therefore, the ideal candidate must be resilient, have a calm demeanour, and have the ability to remain calm when under pressure.
The school aims to overcome barriers to the young person’s education and help to support students to become more confident in themselves and in their academic ability.
This role will include:
1. Supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis who is new to the school
2. Providing academic intervention on the core subjects including English, Maths, and Science
3. Mentoring the pupil
4. De-escalating challenging situations
5. Providing positive encouragement for the pupil
6. Helping them to adapt to the new school environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
