Dalton Court Care Home is located in Cockermouth, just outside the Lake District National Park. Our home offers specialist nursing and dementia support for 60 adults, with 24-hour input from registered nurses. We can also offer end of life/palliative care and respite services.
Our home boasts a beautiful setting with views of the Lake District fells. Our goal at Dalton Court is to provide a homely environment so our residents feel safe and well cared for, whilst promoting their continued independence. We support people to pursue their own individual hobbies and interests, and maintain contact with their local communities and loved ones.
Job Advert Role Description
As a Catering Assistant you will be responsible for a variety of duties, including:
Assisting catering staff with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with the company’s Assured Safe Catering policies and procedures.
Cleaning and sanitising crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils to the required standard
Taking responsibility for parts of the catering operation under supervision.
Ensuring the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the company’s Assured Safe Catering policies and procedures.
About you
We are looking for a confident individual and someone who has relevant experience in a similar sized kitchen and qualifications in food hygiene, prep and cookery. This challenging role promises good onward progression the successful applicant; you will need to have the ability to think on your feet, a passion for food and the service you provide.
Hours of work are 10.00am - 19.00pm
