The Group Treasury function in Aviva’s Group Capital team is looking for a Senior Treasury Manager to join the team. This would suit someone with experience in corporate treasury or capital management and with a curiosity in bank relationship management, liquidity management and the use of debt to fund business growth.
A bit about the job:
The Group Treasury team has responsibility for managing Aviva Group’s centre liquidity, external debt, and credit ratings as well as the delivery of financing projects.
The team is focused on the delivery of Aviva’s ‘Financial Strength’ strategy. You will play a key role in managing Aviva’s relationships with its banks, reviewing and supporting forecasts for centre liquidity and debt leverage, helping us maintain our ‘AA’ credit ratings and managing planned debt issuance and share buybacks. Tasks will include:
1. Co-ordinating bank relationship activities
2. Hosting a quarterly meeting with key internal stakeholders to optimise banks activity across the Group
3. Drafting Board and Committee papers
4. Preparing external reporting disclosures
5. Assisting with the structuring of treasury transactions (debt issuance, share buybacks, internal loans)
6. Leading the team on risk and control processes
You’ll also build relationships with peers within Group Capital, across Finance, Legal, Corporate Development (M&A and Investor Relations) and Risk. In addition, you’ll be interacting with Aviva Investors and local business units on a regular basis. This is an external facing role so you will also be interacting with a variety of stakeholders including banks, legal firms, and rating agencies.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
1. A positive and hard-working individual with high energy and broad experience in corporate treasury and in particular debt capital management
2. Relevant professional experience (Treasury/Accounting/Actuarial)
3. Experience of corporate financial analysis and reporting
4. Understanding and experience of global financial markets and debt capital markets is beneficial
5. Understanding of Insurance solvency and capital management

Salary: circa £95,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
