We are seeking a detail-orientated Information Requests Officer to manage and respond to information requests, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and maintaining confidentiality. Main duties of the job The postholder will coordinate and process information and subject access requests in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR, ensuring timely and compliant responses. They will retrieve and review information from digital and paper records, applying redactions and exemptions as necessary. Maintaining an accurate database of requests, they will oversee the preparation of disclosures and provide clear, accurate information while safeguarding data security. Working closely with clients, internal teams, and external professionals, the postholder will support individuals in understanding and exercising their information rights. They will provide advice on subject access requests and ensure all responses adhere to legal and organisational standards. Additional responsibilities include conducting records audits, maintaining organised filing systems, and supporting the wider Information Governance team with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data protection and information law, demonstrating the ability to handle complex and sensitive data with professionalism.
