Registered Children’s Home Manager – Leiston Location: Leiston Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 per annum Bonus Scheme Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Type of Home: 4-bed home - EBD We are working with a reputable provider of children’s residential care to recruit a Registered Manager for a 4-bed home in Leiston, supporting children aged 9-17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader or a Deputy Manager looking to take the next step in their career. The Role As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the operational leadership of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people. Your key responsibilities will include: Regulatory Compliance – Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and maintain a high standard of care to meet Ofsted requirements. Leadership & Team Development – Lead and mentor staff, ensuring the highest quality of care and professional development. Safeguarding & Child Protection – Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring that children are protected from harm and all safeguarding policies are implemented effectively. Strategic Development – Contribute to organisational plans and strategies for children’s services both locally and countywide. Performance & Quality Improvement – Oversee quality assurance processes, using data and analysis to drive improvements and best practice. Occupancy & Recruitment – Maintain high occupancy levels and lead on recruitment and retention planning for staff. Budget & Resource Management – Ensure effective financial planning and resource allocation. Multi-Agency Working – Work collaboratively with internal and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people. Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it). At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a residential children’s home. Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and children’s residential care legislation. Experience in leading inspections and achieving positive outcomes. Budget management skills and ability to oversee financial planning. Excellent leadership, people management, and communication skills. Full right to work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship).
