The role…
Working directly with our Group Tax Director, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a global and growing team that supports a complex business. Delivering on all direct tax requirements for the group, the Group Tax Manager will also be responsible for driving process improvement and be proactive in identifying risks and opportunities. This role provides a unique combination of ownership with an opportunity for growth within a highly acquisitive and agile business.
What you’ll be doing…
* Overseeing the preparation of tax provisions and deferred tax calculations under IFRS
* Managing external UK corporation tax compliance, including the preparation of the Group’s annual corporation tax returns, corporate interest restriction return, and group relief claims (through ONESOURCE Corporate Tax)
* Overseeing global direct tax compliance through liaison with internal stakeholders and external advisors
* Identifying opportunities to optimise the Group’s tax position through making use of available reliefs and incentives
* Delivering monthly tax analytics to assist with management reporting and cash flow forecasting
* Responding to operational tax queries from both internal and external stakeholders
* Reviewing and testing the Group’s tax control environment as part of a process of continuous improvement
* Providing tax support for M&A related activities and operational project work, including transfer pricing, cash repatriation, restructuring and financing work streams
* Acting as a key liaison with external auditors for direct tax matters
What we’re looking for…
* CTA, ACA or ACCA Qualified
* Strong experience in UK corporate tax compliance and tax provisions under IFRS
* Exposure to managing local partners for international tax compliance would be desirable, but is not essential
* A working knowledge of, or interest in, M&A tax matters
* A confident communicator, previous experience managing stakeholder relationships at all levels of the business
* Highly diligent, able to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining high standards and accuracy
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* A continuous learning mindset and desire to develop the GlobalData tax function
