It’s a super exciting time to join us as we begin to deliver our Integrated Health and Wellbeing Service (IHWS) throughout the City of Nottingham, and we’re looking for a Specialist Stop Smoking Advisor to join the team!
Our programme is designed to support individuals and their families to improve their health behaviours and make sustainable changes to their lifestyle. The IHWS programme in Nottingham consists of five key services;
* Stop smoking support (this is where you come in!)
* Tailored physical activity programmes
* Adult weight management
* Child/family weight management
* Health Coaching
As a Specialist Stop Smoking Advisor, your role will be to deliver face-to-face stop smoking support to eligible clients alongside the online resource.
A typical day as a Specialist Stop Smoking Advisor might include:
* Delivering evidence-based interventions that focus on smoking cessation, behaviour change, and psychological support to save lives by helping smokers quit for good
* Running stop smoking clinics across GP settings by working with SMI clients on both a one-to-one and group basis
* Working with partner organisations and colleagues in Primary Care to help improve patient uptake and meet targets
* Ensuring an excellent and safe experience for clients, in alignment with our policies and procedures
* Engaging in training relevant to your role, such as NCSCT Stop Smoking training and Behaviour Change Level 1 and 2
* Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments
* Ensuring due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance
* Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values

To work with us in this role you will need to have some delivery experience of supporting clients to make healthy lifestyle choices. Full training for the role will be provided, however, if you have already completed your NCSCT Stop Smoking Advisor training that’s a bonus!
Although not essential, we are particularly keen to hear from applicants who are fluent in Polish, Urdu, Arabic and/or Romanian.

Contract: Full Time (37.5 hours), One Year Fixed Term
Salary: Starting at £22,500

Location: This is a hybrid role. The majority of your time will be spent delivering face-to-face sessions across the City of Nottingham (car owner desired), whilst you are not delivering you will be able to work either from our office base or from home.
