We’re looking for
a talented HR Advisor to join us on a full-time, permanent basis covering our Hatfield site on our Arla contract.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £32,000 per annum, plus car allowance. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
1. Guide Managers through employee relations cases in real time, intervening and steering in the appropriate direction taking account of company policies, employment law, best practice and precedent. Escalate cases to the HR Manager as necessary
2. Develop and build strong and trusted partnerships with managers, acting as their sounding board and advisor.
3. Lead on the management of absence, including making recommendations, giving advice/coaching and support to managers, liaising with Occupational Health, supporting with AMP/health review meetings, and other absence related meetings
4. To prepare regular and ad hoc management information reports, as agreed, to support continuous improvement.
5. To assist in the design and delivery of development workshops in areas of HR best practice, to enhance knowledge and skills across the site
6. Assist with driving and embedding the people agenda across their respective sites
7. Create and maintain a positive team culture, by actively working in collaboration with the wider HR & Payroll Team.
8. Have the ability to communicate at all levels
9. Demonstrate a passionate & ‘pacey’ style and approach – getting things done
What you need to succeed at XPO:
10. Excellent communication and presentation skills – able to build relationships quickly, engage and influence key stakeholders
11. Experience of working in an HR advisory role, preferably in logistics and multi-site, undertaking a broad range of tasks including working with and advising line managers on employee relations issues
12. Minimum one year HR Advisor level
13. Flexibility to travel as and when required
Desirable
14. Experience of working in a Logistics/ Transport/ Manufacturing/FMCG environment
15. Experience of working with trade union
16. Able to interpret and implement HR Policy and procedures
17. CIPD qualified or working toward qualification (support offered)
