Help Drive the Message Behind the Mission – Highland and Islands Blood Bikes
Are you passionate about social media, storytelling, and community impact?
Highland and Islands Blood Bikes is looking for a volunteer PR Manager to lead the way in raising awareness, building our brand, and spreading the word about the vital work we do.
We are a 100% volunteer-led and operated charity, providing free, urgent medical transport services across the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Our riders are on call — rain, shine, or snow — and every journey is powered entirely by volunteers. Now, we need someone like you to help us tell that story.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the creation, scheduling, and management of content across Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and more
2. Design and deliver creative campaigns to raise awareness of our mission and services
3. Manage and grow our online presence to engage supporters, attract new volunteers, and drive donations
4. Maintain consistency in our messaging and visual branding
5. Write compelling stories, press releases, and supporter updates
6. Liaise with media outlets, partners, and local communities to promote our work
What We’re Looking For:
1. Experience with social media platforms, content creation and basic design tools (Canva, etc.)
2. A creative mindset and strong written communication skills
3. Passion for community and volunteer-led causes
4. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
5. Bonus: experience in PR, marketing, or digital communications
This is a flexible volunteer role that can be done remotely, with the full support of our passionate and dedicated team.
