An exciting opportunity has arisen for a multi-skilled Fabric engineer to join the award-winning team based in the South West. Performing both planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of domestic & commercial premises throughout the South West.
Role Overview:
Full-time permanent position, working 42.5 hrs per week (plus overtime).
1. Planned works, such as bathroom renovations, insurance works, etc. working in domestic and light commercial properties.
2. There is a large amount of work within housing associations.
3. Reactive repairs, such as emergency call outs to building fabric may be required from time to time.
4. Liaise with the helpdesk in relation to work orders.
5. Complete relevant paperwork and report diligently, including customer sign off after each job.
6. Supporting the line manager/supervisor with quoting extra works, and ensuring the job stays on specification.
7. Work in a customer-focused environment where quality and service is paramount.
8. Ensure every task is carried out to the highest standard of workmanship and safety.
9. Working across FM, projects, planned & reactive maintenance teams.

5. Basic plaster repairs

7. Basic electrical skills/knowledge

Person Specification:
1. Experience in a varied construction and building environment.
2. Full driving license.
3. DBS check will be required and clean (exceptions may be given).
4. Ability to work from plans, but also have the ability to fill in any gaps or highlight to the supervisor for approval.
5. A can-do attitude.
6. Flexible mindset for reactive tasks.
7. Possess a high degree of attention to detail.
8. Awareness of Health and Safety.
9. Highly customer-focused.
10. Experience of working within a mobile workforce.
11. Experience dealing with customers and suppliers.
12. Excellent communication skills.
13. Must be able to use a tablet for worksheets.
