Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Supportive Treatment and Recovery (STAR) Service provided by Sheffield Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. You will be a key member of the STAR Team; you will be expected to prioritise their own workload to ensure that registration of referrals and booking of appointments are in line with the Trust's waiting time standards and the Trust's Patient Access Policy seeking reference from the Patient Pathway Coordinator as required. A significant responsibility of the role is to accurately record information on to systems and maintain patient appointment information submitted to the Trust. Although this role is predominantly based at The Becton Centre for Children & Young People, there will also be an expectation to be based one day a week at our Acute site, Sheffield Children's Hospital. Working hours: 30 hours - preferably Monday to Friday 11:00-17:00 but flexibility for these hours to be worked over 4 full working days Main duties of the job You will be required to provide a comprehensive secretarial support service to the clinical STAR service team, including processing referrals, booking appointments, typing correspondence in accordance with Trust policies and procedures. You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, in addition to a clear understanding of patient confidentiality. You must possess good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload according to deadlines, and agood working knowledge of IT packages and the ability to work within a team. You will use the electronic patient database (system one) to input, validate and update patient information. You will deal with incoming telephone calls and emails and take messages as appropriate. You will carry out a variety of admin/clerical duties i.e., preparing resources for the Patient Pathway Coordinator and clinical team, maintaining, and creating spreadsheets using excel. You will liaise with patients and families and a wide range of staff both internal and external to the organisation always using a professional and courteous manner.
