We are looking for an experienced and motivated Technical Distribution Manager to lead and optimize our distribution activities with the Avnet speedboats in North Europe, with a special focus on UK & Ireland.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire portfolio of our products and services. This includes compute, displays, memory as well as design and manufacturing services. You will be first point of contact for the Speedboats product/project inquiries, supporting them with technical expertise and joint customer visits.
The goal is to find the right technical/commercial solution and dynamically deploy the necessary resources from our franchise suppliers as needed. This position requires a strong technical background with at least three to five years of embedded experience, excellent presentation skills and a deep understanding of embedded and/or display technologies.
In this role, you will:
1. Represent our full portfolio within identified opportunities.
2. Provide guidance and technical advice to customers and sales.
3. Form and lead cross functional project teams.
4. Coordinate with Product Management, Technical Support and Engineering teams.
5. Close collaboration with Product Design, Product Management and Business Development.
6. Build-up or extend strong customer relationship at all levels.
7. Monitor supplier product portfolio to make meaningful proposals.
8. Follow up and track project progress.
9. Conduct technical discussions with speedboats and customers.
10. Prompt response to customer/product inquiries.
11. Support Avnet Distribution partners on Shows and events if requested.
12. Support QBR and Roadmap "Next Gen" discussions.
13. Own and master assigned responsibilities, work independently.
What we are looking for:
14. Bachelor’s or master’s in electrical engineering, economic engineering or similar.
15. 3 to 5 Years experience in Embedded computing sector.
16. Good Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
17. Excellent presentation skills.
18. Convincing and confident communication at management level.
19. Interest in Embedded Technology and Problem-solving mindset.
20. English [fluent], other languages are a plus.
21. Own and master assigned responsibilities, work independently.
22. 40% Of the role will involve travel
