Role Overview
At ATS, our Industrial IT Engineers play a pivotal role in delivering sophisticated IT projects for customers in the Aerospace and Defence manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for deploying IT hardware and software in critical manufacturing production environments. This role encompasses multiple stages of the project life cycle, from design and documentation to implementation and customer acceptance.

How You Will Make an Impact
Project Design and Documentation:
1. Develop high-quality technical documentation that meets customer technical governance and assurance criteria.
2. Participate in the design phase, ensuring all technical documentation aligns with project requirements.
Implementation:
3. Undertake the deployment of IT hardware and software in critical manufacturing environments.
4. Ensure the implementation phase is executed seamlessly, adhering to project timelines and quality standards.
Customer Acceptance and Transition:
5. Manage the transition of projects from implementation to service support.
6. Facilitate customer acceptance, ensuring all project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
Technical Leadership:
7. Work collaboratively within project teams to contribute to effective technical solutions.
8. Communicate effectively with customers’ organisations and their various IT suppliers to support seamless integration and project success.

What You Will Bring to The Team

30. Experience with Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems, including proficiency in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
31. The ability to obtain Security Clearance to work at a UK MOD accredited manufacturing facility.
32. A willingness to work on-site at customers’ manufacturing facilities across the UK and occasionally overseas.
33. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.
Nice to Have
34. A strong background in IT project delivery within manufacturing environments.
35. Experience in the Aerospace and Defence industry is highly desirable.
