ISS is in the process of establishing a specialist department dedicated to risk assessment, focusing on delivering an outstanding portfolio of services.
As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will play a vital role in supporting this mission by conducting comprehensive risk assessments across a variety of water systems, including commercial, industrial, scientific, and domestic setups of varying complexities.

Key Responsibilities
* Promote and ensure the highest levels of health and safety compliance
* Approve interpretations of guidance, local house rules, and necessary deviations for their application
* Generate and amend schematic drawings using appropriate software
* Attend forums and technical community meetings as requested
* Conduct thorough risk assessments for Legionella bacteria in domestic water systems (complexity range 1-4 as per LCA Competence Matrix)
* Conduct risk assessments for other water risks, including regulatory issues and bylaw contraventions
* Provide advice on water and plumbing-related risks and develop risk mitigation scheme documents while maintaining impartiality
* Take responsibility for work, demonstrate care, and maintain respect for colleagues and clients
* Set high standards and strive to achieve them
* Maintain full knowledge of work areas and adhere to schedules
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
* Full professional membership of at least 2 appropriate professional bodies including but not limited to Water Management Society / CIPHE / IHEEM etc
* Extensive experience of working within a multi-disciplinary technical environment
* Considerable experience along with certification with cooling system risk assessment including water treatment
* Considerable experience along with certification of assessing microbiological risks in domestic and commercial water systems of varying complexity
* Experience of assessing risk within the scientific framework including laboratories, water treatment plant, anaerobic systems and able to understand and apply risk profile to bespoke water systems
* An understanding of non-water systems such as HVAC, mechanical and pressure systems
* Certification or experience with water regulations and the implementation thereof including devolved byelaws
* Competent across all IT software programmes
* Some experience of working within Critical Environments preferred
* Full driving license is essential
