Are you an experienced Plumbing Lecturer looking to pass on your skills and knowledge to the next generation? If so, we want to hear from you!
Our Abingdon campus is looking for a dedicated plumbing lecturer to support and train our students to move them into their futures. A experienced lecturer will be able to focus on the delivery of full-time study programmes for predominantly 16–18-year-olds and our highly regarded full cost evening courses for anyone to join and improve their skills.
The candidate will also be able to support Full-time students develop their workplace skills that we know are in high demand; like punctuality, teamwork, and communication, with a goal of progressing our students into their chosen next step, be it a higher level of study at college, university, an apprenticeship at our brand-new Construction Skills Centre in Bicester, or full-time employment.
You will be working in our purpose-built teaching spaces be that workshops or classrooms which are professional environments and working alongside our experienced team of trainers who cover plumbing, electrical installation and
testing and both Site Carpentry and Joinery and Bench Joinery. Working as part of an enthusiastic, and highly committed team you will work with students in the classroom and workshops.
If you have not taught or demonstrated practical skills before, then do not worry – no teaching qualifications are necessary! We will help you to qualify if you want to – what we ask to start with is that you are enthusiastic and passionate about transferring your skills on to the next generation of industry professionals. We can teach you to teach!
If you are already an experienced lecturer, then our award-winning Teaching Skills Academy will help you to develop your teaching skills further and our Leadership Development Academy can support you into management, if that is your next

Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
