We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking IT Manager to oversee our school’s technology landscape across IT, audio-visual, and reprographics, enhancing our teaching and learning environment. The IT Manager will play a pivotal role in sustaining this momentum, ensuring that our cutting-edge facilities and systems continue to support and inspire our school community.
Leading a team of six, the IT Manager will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, advising the COO and supporting the IT Strategy Group to ensure our IT provision aligns with the school’s long-term vision. Collaborating with the Head of Digital Learning, they will help introduce and sustain innovative learning technologies, fostering a vibrant and responsive learning environment. Developing long-term investment plans and managing the department’s budget, including financial forecasting, will be key as they lead the department’s strategic and operational IT initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in IT operations—from service delivery to IT support management—and a proactive approach to budgeting, risk management, and strategic planning.
Familiarity with UK GDPR and data protection practices is also required, as the IT Manager will serve as the school’s Data Protection Advisor, providing guidance on compliance and training staff as needed.
This role requires a skilled communicator with excellent organisational abilities and a talent for fostering collaborative and efficient working practices. With the ability to build strong working relationships across the school community and proficiency in Microsoft 365, the successful candidate will make a lasting impact on our school’s technology landscape.
