We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Test Engineer to join our team This is a full time, permanent role working in our Neath office. About the role: As Senior Test Engineer you will be the key in ensuring the quality and compliance of our software solutions with regulations, functional and non-functional user requirements, and strategic business goals. This role involves designing, coding, and executing various levels of testing, including ad-hoc, manual, and automated frameworks, while driving continuous improvement across projects. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Senior Test Engineer will contribute directly to software development and release, maintaining technical excellence and aligning with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project requirements, technical constraints, and strategic objectives. Design and execute tests to evaluate software against functional, non-functional, and user requirements. Partner with distributed teams and product managers to improve overall software quality. Extend automation testing frameworks and utilise development and operations toolsets effectively. Participate in Agile Scrum/DSDM activities, conduct various code and environment tests, manage pre-release documentation, and archive tested executables. Perform manual and automated tests at all levels, including unit, integration, user-acceptance, and full system tests. Actively contribute to scheduling and testing across hosted environments, cloud projects, and on-site mobile functions. What we are looking for: Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering / Math / Commerce / Science / Computer Applications or 3 years of relevant experience in commercial product development and/or testing. Proven experience in developing and testing end-user applications using C/C++, C#, Java, Scala, or Python. Familiarity with MySQL, ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL, GUIs, REST APIs, Docker, virtual machines, and computer networks for application integrations. Exceptional communication skills to understand user requirements and assess software performance effectively. Strong documentation abilities to capture application behaviour and support software development across large, multi-platform projects. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate and resolve technical challenges. What’s in it for you? Salary: up to £54,500 per annum DOE. Full Time, 37.5 hours per week.
