Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Permanent National Employability Tutor, working for a client on a National Basis. Candidates must hold a Full UK License and own transport.
National Employability Tutor Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Responsibility for safeguarding candidates whilst on programme.
2. Establish and maintain a safe environment for all staff and candidates.
3. Deliver training and assessment on a variety of short course qualifications up to Level 2.
4. Deliver classroom-based employability courses to the unemployed.
5. Interpret the knowledge requirements in ways that are appropriate to candidates at all levels.
6. Support learners in achieving their goals through embedding wider topics: safeguarding, Prevent, EDI, and British values.
7. Embed maths, English, and ICT.
8. Demonstrate practical applications of vocational programmes.
9. Adapt/develop appropriate learning materials.
10. Record and provide feedback to learners continually on their programme.
11. Complete attendance records and provide information for tracking student progress in their place of learning.
12. Share best practice and resources in training, learning, and assessment.
13. Participate in standardisation meetings.
14. Prepare, maintain, and monitor the training/workplace environment to meet Health and Safety standards.
15. Comply with all required administration duties.
16. Be flexible in supporting the required needs of the business.
National Employability Tutor Applicants:
Skills/Behaviours:
1. Show an appreciation of safeguarding issues and contribute towards a protective environment.
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both at a written and spoken level.
3. IT literate.
4. Ability to work across all levels and engage with people accordingly.
5. Demonstrate attention to detail and high-quality work.
6. Good personal organisation, time management, and administrative skills.
7. Self-motivated and effective team player.
Knowledge/Experience:
1. Hold a full teaching qualification.
2. An understanding of Safeguarding and Prevent.
3. Ideally have experience of delivering L2 Lean organisation management, Facilities, Cleaning, Employability, and Environmental.
4. Working towards or hold the A1/TAQA/D32/33 Assessor qualification.
5. Experience of training in an educational or workplace environment.
6. Relevant industrial experience (warehouse/manufacturing/cleaning).
7. Be flexible and demonstrate adaptability to meet the challenges and demands of the roles.
8. Understanding of compliance paperwork and reviews.
9. Demonstrate behaviour consistent with educational values.
10. Be committed to continuous professional development.
The successful candidate would be subject to an enhanced DBS check. This role is classroom-based Monday to Friday 9am-5pm for learners; however, will be expected to work outside of these hours for marking, travel, etc. Working away from home is an essential part of the role and could be three out of four weeks staying in a hotel from Sunday to Friday, depending on the training location. Mileage is 45p per mile, hotels are pre-booked, an evening meal allowance up to £16, and mobile phone bill paid up to £50 a month.
