Quality Engineer
We have an opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Poole, where you will be responsible for providing Quality support and guidance in a lean manufacturing and NPI arena ensuring process adherence, product conformance and reduction in variation. This is a pro-active and hands-on role promoting the maintenance and development of quality systems and NPI approaches generating process excellence, including good process design, strong process compliance and improvement vigour, new product introduction, built in quality, quality metrics, quality techniques, and customer complaints within Honeywell PMC European operations.
This role is 100% on-site with occasional travel to external sites within the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Support Honeywell’s integrated supply chain by maintaining process conformance, process maps, control plans, and conducting risk reviews in production areas.
* Actively engage within the Product Group to ensure seamless production operations and uphold lean manufacturing practices.
* Manage customer complaints related to production, maintaining accurate records, facilitating swift resolutions, and implementing robust corrective actions based on investigations.
* Drive quality issue resolution in production by conducting root cause analysis, closing RAIL items, and supporting related improvement projects.
* Conduct internal quality audits, assist with third-party audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of timely corrective actions and effective tracking of non-conformities.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Requirements include GCSE English and Maths or equivalent, HNC or relevant engineering experience, ISO Lead Auditor certification in 9001 (with 14001 or 45001 as a bonus), and any additional higher education is advantageous.
* Quality Engineering experience and supplier audit experience, along with a demonstrated ability to learn through on-the-job development or formal education.
* Familiarity with quality tools, statistical process methods, and business metrics, and practical application in enhancing quality.
* Solid knowledge of Quality tools and techniques with the aim of continuous improvement.
* Demonstrated willingness to learn and apply ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and EN ISO/IEC 80079-34:2011.
