We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our dynamic, nurturing, fun-loving pre-school family where learning, love, and laughter is an essential part of every day practice!
Your hours would range from 7.30 am until 6pm term time only and would be a minimum of 12 hours a week.
Experience and qualifications are desirable but a passion and interest for how children learn and develop is essential.
Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-School Practitioner to join our nurturing educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children.
This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating atmosphere where children can thrive and develop essential skills. The Pre-School Practitioner will be responsible for fostering children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning and structured activities.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play.
2. Create a warm and welcoming environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
3. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and development.
4. Observe and assess children's individual needs, interests, and abilities to tailor activities accordingly.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all children.
6. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care at all times.
7. Lead group activities that encourage teamwork, cooperation, and social skills.
8. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
Requirements
1. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience in childcare is desirable but not essential.
2. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or pre-school setting is highly desirable.
3. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
4. A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development.
5. Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
6. A commitment to creating an inclusive environment that respects diversity.
