We are very excited to be able to offer a substantive Community Mental Health Nurse post within the North Cotswolds' Recovery Team. The post part time and flexible working can be discussed. You will be based at Leckhampton Lodge in Cheltenham but this may change in future due to pending transformation of community mental health services. The post would mainly involve working in and around Cheltenham and the North Cotswolds.
The North Cotswolds Recovery Team is a friendly, welcoming and dynamic team providing secondary mental health care services to adults of working age, their families and significant others, to provide the best possible outcomes for people experiencing severe mental illness, with complex mental health needs. The aim of the team is to work in line with the principles of Recovery and Social Inclusion. We strive to ensure that locality services represent excellent quality, (safe and a positive experience) and good value, (efficient and effective).
The team provides a planned needs led 9am-5pm five days a week service.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for a community mental health nurse who has some experience of working with adults of Working Age and caring for individuals with Enduring Mental Health problems. The post will include care coordinating a designated caseload, working within the Assessment and Care Management Policy and associated countywide risk procedures, undertaking duty and initial assessments, travelling independently, use of IT skills and a working knowledge of legislation regarding safeguarding vulnerable adults, the MHA and MCA.
