Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Work Pattern: Monday – Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM
Salary: £27,219 per annum
Location: Sale Rd, Norwich NR7 9TP - Travel to various external locations as needed.
* Due to the nature of the role, a driver licence and access to a vehicle is essential. Mileage is paid at 45p per mile for cars after your home to work base mileage is deducted.
Are you an experienced communicator with a passion for mental health advocacy? Join Norfolk and Waveney Mind as our Communications Officer and play a vital role in raising awareness, shaping our message, and engaging key stakeholders.
In this role, you will oversee both internal and external communications, ensuring consistent, clear, and engaging messaging across various channels. From media relations and emergency communications to content creation and internal bulletins, you will help amplify the voice of our charity and support our mission to improve mental health and wellbeing across Norfolk and Waveney.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Field media inquiries, issue press releases, and coordinate media tours.
2. Develop and implement communication plans for new services and initiatives.
3. Create engaging content for internal bulletins, newsletters, and the website.
4. Support fundraising and marketing efforts with compelling copy.
5. Provide in-house proofreading and refinement of materials.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Strong experience in media relations and communication strategies.
2. Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging content.
3. A proactive approach to staying current on industry trends and news.
4. Ability to collaborate with teams to support our mission and vision.
