Due to significant growth across OCU Group, we currently have a new opportunity for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to to join our Water Division in the North West. The purpose of the role will be to assist with the development of comprehensive project plans, including timelines and resource allocation to support our current projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Obtain necessary approvals and permits from regulatory authorities.
* Assist to develop project schedules and critical milestones.
* Assist to monitor project progress, identify deviations, and assisting to implement corrective actions as needed.
* Regularly report project status to project manager, providing updates on milestones, risks, and achievements.
* Identify potential risks and assisting to develop risk mitigation plans to minimize project disruptions.
* Ensure that projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high-quality deliverables.
* Promote a strong safety culture throughout the project, enforcing safety protocols and practices.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Manage relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities and community members.
* Prepare project documentation, including reports, trackers, and meeting notes.
* Monitoring of plant and material costs with site trackers.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in construction, preferably in water-related projects.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* IT Skills including all Microsoft suite.
* Knowledge of water industry standards, regulations, and best practices in the UK.
* A full UK driving licence.
