We have a fantastic opportunity for a High Dependency Community Transport Assistant (FREC 3 Qualified) to join our team based in Redhill, Surrey.
A High Dependency Community Transport Assistant is a hugely rewarding and fulfilling role. Each day, you’ll be helping someone in need, making their lives that little bit easier, and knowing that you make a difference to their day provides you with a real sense of achievement.
Your main responsibility will be transporting elderly, sick and vulnerable service users to and from their place of education, medical appointments and between healthcare facilities. This can be carried out as two-person crews or alone, so it is vital to hold a full UK driving licence and to have a good degree of physical fitness.

Hours of work: Mon - Fri 08:00 - 17:00 (30 mins break)

Role Responsibilities
* Collecting Service users and ensuring that the home environment is adequately secured after their departure and safe on their return.
* Administering basic first aid and oxygen and prescribed medication (training provided) as required while working.
* Completing all necessary vehicle and journey documentation.
* Assisting Service users in walking, pushing them in a wheelchair and lifting them in and out of a vehicle/home.
* Reporting facts concerning accidents or incidents to hospital/School or law enforcement officials.
* Earn and maintain appropriate certifications and medical certificates.
* Ensuring the vehicle and associated equipment is in a safe and clean condition at all times, reporting any defects to the appropriate manager.
Person Specification
* Committed to patient care.
* Must be FREC 3 Qualified for this position.
* Able to work flexibly due to unexpected circumstances i.e., traffic or shift overruns.
* Careful and considerate driver.
* Hold a clean driving licence for at least 2 years with no more than 3 points.
* Successful candidates will be required to pass a DVLA D4 Medical.
* Have strong communication skills with a polite and friendly manner.
* Be physically fit, as you will be required to move patients.
* Have good knowledge of the local and surrounding areas within a 50-mile radius.
