Compass Associates is a leading UK Health and Social Care Recruitment Consultancy. We are partnering with a prestigious retirement living provider who have been established for over 40 years and operate in 19 locations across the UK.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead our new flagship retirement village in Chester. You will create a vibrant community where residents can age well, form friendships, and enjoy an exceptional living experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement operational plans for the village, aligning with our strategic goals.
2. Drive excellence in hospitality and customer experience, fostering strong relationships with residents and the community.
3. Manage P&L accounts, budgets, and revenue streams to ensure financial health.
4. Oversee property management and ensure a safe, compliant environment for residents.
5. Lead and develop a high-performing team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills:
1. Build strong Resident and customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
2. Visionary leader who motivates others and builds strong relationships.
3. Strategic thinker who anticipates future possibilities and makes timely decisions.
4. Strong financial acumen to guide business decisions.
5. Effective communicator who understands diverse audience needs.
6. Collaborative team player who holds self and others accountable.
Qualifications:
1. 3-6 years of general management experience in a similar setting.
2. Strong operational and financial acumen.
3. Proven ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.
4. A retirement village background would be preferable, but happy to consider candidates with a hospital background or hotel management, especially within luxury, 5* hotels.
