DIVISION / DEPARTMENT:
Keeling's International Ltd - Commercial Procurement
Role Purpose:
Responsible for all the administrational requirements within the procurement department supporting the management, planning and purchasing of product. To provide continuous support and key information to the Commercial procurement team.
Key accountabilities & responsibilities:
1. Responsible for maintaining up to date information, balancing stock control, stock levels, waste, giveaway and claims to deliver high performance profitability whilst delivering service.
2. Reviewing arrival information and outturn reports and investigating discrepancies with the relevant departments.
3. Ordering stock from the supply base in line with the customer forecasts and stock levels.
4. Entering purchase order information into the ERP system and sending them to suppliers.
5. Communicating with suppliers and hauliers regarding arrival times and liaising with operational and planning departments to aid operational effectiveness.
6. Supporting the wider team and updating the operations department on seasonal plans.
7. Supporting the Procurement Manager with historic and future data needed to negotiate seasonal contracts with growers and suppliers.
8. Monitoring supplier performance against agreed seasonal programs.
9. Transmitting forecasts and guide orders to direct suppliers and ensure they are meeting orders demand.
10. Relationship building within the company's multiple customer and supplier base and throughout the produce industry.
11. Working cross functionally with technical and quality departments to highlight any supplier and quality matters.
12. Support with wider procurement team to ensure the procurement function meets its targets and objectives.
13. Responsible for gathering information to support supplier claims as directed.
14. Managing product samples from suppliers in line with the customer/technical requirements.

1. Previous produce experience is desirable but not essential.

Any additional relevant information:
The role requires flexibility and the ability to work under pressure often managing a number of critical issues at the same time. An ability to travel across the UK, therefore own car and valid driving licence would be preferable.
