Provide appropriate expert, timely (reactive and proactive), cost effective and practicable advice and guidance to managers and employees on safety & environmental matters in order to comply with legal and moral health and safety and environmental standards
Support and influence front line site managers and staff to make sure that they understand and adhere to CDM and consistent with current legislation and industry best practice
Monitor compliance with Anglian Water & Alliance procedures in the workplace, and review safety and environmental performance
Develop policies, standards, procedures and instructions to achieve best practice in safety & environmental performance
Keep up to date with relevant legislation and current developments / trends in the field to keep us on the front-foot in terms of safety practices
Provide support and visibility for the SHEQ team ensuring lessons are learn and successes are celebrated by working in a collaborative environment
NEBOSH Certificate
Proven CDM Experience
Experience interpreting and applying Health & Safety legislation in an operational business.
Proven experience of conducting or supporting incident / near miss investigations
Excellent Communication skills
Able to negotiate and persuade others along on the journey'

Comprising of Anglian Water, Clancy, Claret Civil Engineering, Public Sewer Services and Danaher & Walsh, the IMR WRA manages planned and emergency sewer, rising mains and SMART technology installation as well as maintenance and repair across the region.

With this in mind, we a looking for a SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) Advisor to provide professional and authoritative health, safety & environmental services across the alliance!
What will you be doing as our new SHEQ Advisor?
You'll be providing specialist advice in all areas of safety enabling managers, employees and partner contractors to comply with all aspects of Anglian Water's Construction health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and practices to create an efficient and safe place to work.
As this role will be regional there will be a requirement to travel all over the East Anglia region. This is a "best for task" role, the successful candidate will be employed by one of our partner companies within the alliance.
