The Role
To liaise with relevant Clinical Secretaries, Waiting List Team, Pre-Assessment Unit Staff and patients to provide a timeous and efficient Appointment Service for Pre-Surgery Assessment Appointments. To provide a high standard of patient scheduling within a centralised service to ensure efficiency in patient care. Resolve disputed appointment times, offer new appointments and re-arrange existing appointments. Deal with telephone enquiries from all staff groups, patients, relatives, carers, providing information, directing and prioritising queries as appropriate, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery. Responsible for arranging transport to facilitate the patient journey where applicable. Day to day maintenance of departmental requirements to ensure the smooth running of the department. Ad-hoc duties as required.
Be able to cover periods of leave within the pan Lanarkshire pre-assessment team.

What we'll need you to bring
1. Educated to SVQ3 or equivalent level is desirable with at least 3 years experience within the National Health Service.
2. Demonstrate good organisational and communication skills required to work with a wide variety of staff groups.
3. Ability to work under constant pressure.
4. An ability to compile and review figures.
5. Knowledge of software systems.
6. Keyboard skills.

8. NHS administration experience
9. Patient scheduling experience
10. Experience of Trakcare, Clinical Portal and Microsoft packages
11. Knowledge of NHS waiting times.
12. Tolero and Milan reporting tools
13. Able to work well as part of a team.

17. Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
18. This role will be based in Scheduling Department within University Hospital Wishaw.
19. The working pattern for this role is Monday - Friday 8.30 am - 2 pm.
