Marketing Director
Our client aims to make fitness gaming incredible by combining exceptional gameplay with gym-quality exercise. Our proprietary gaming platform, built for fitness, was launched alongside our first title earlier this year. We hit the ground running, generating over $2m in sales, receiving rave reviews from the likes of Eurogamer, LADBible, Edge and Tom’s Guide, and delivering exceptional NPS, engagement and retention scores.
Now, we’re expanding into VR and launching our IP on Meta Quest in January, giving VR players a chance to burn 600+ kCal/hr fighting, running, leaping and ducking their way through gorgeous fantasy worlds. We’ve secured over $20m in funding from top-tier VCs and angels, including Tencent, Khosla Ventures and the founders of Twitch.
YOUR MISSION
As the Marketing Director, your mission is to drive growth across VR and the proprietary platform, beginning with our game and broadening to include a diverse portfolio of fitness games. You’ll set strategy, shape product decisions, and build a brand people love across channels.
This opportunity is ideal for a marketing leader who can combine creative problem-solving with hard numbers to deliver both long-term vision and smart execution. You’ll need to be inventive, curious, and able to pivot quickly as we continue to discover what works and what doesn’t. Like all employees at the company, you’ll be granted a meaningful equity stake so you can reap the rewards of your efforts.
YOUR TYPICAL WEEK
* Work directly with the executive team to set company strategy and solve key problems.
* Own and manage a 7-figure budget to deliver growth, retention and MROI.
* Set marketing strategy and continuously adapt in response to insights and analyses.
* Build and execute go-to-market approach for new products and additional markets.
* Source and strengthen relationships with retailers, distributors and strategic partners.
* Lead, grow and coach the marketing team to improve performance across channels.
* Review, improve and approve creative across visual and written media.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
* Proven Marketing leadership record with 5+ years’ experience.
* Strong D2C & Gaming experience across paid, earned, and owned.
* Confident data skills including forecasting, performance, customer insights & reporting.
* Strong creative vision with excellent written comms.
BONUS POINTS
* Start-up / scale-up experience, especially Series A-B.
* Recurring revenue experience.
* Customer fitness and/or hardware experience.
