Job Description Accountant – Construction Description: I am delighted to be working with an extremely successful local construction company, that is growing year on year after landing major contracts across residential and healthcare projects. Ideally, the successful candidate will have 2yrs PQ experience in Manufacturing or Engineering industries. This position will be a key hire in to a team of three. There is a total of nine people across the wider finance function. Top Things to Know About this Job: Excellent Salar y ( D OE) On-Site working Pension Scheme and Professional Membership Fees Permanent The Role: Preparation and posting of month end journals Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts Prep of month end and quarter P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations Reviewing outputs from Accounts Payable, Banking and Accounts receivable Preparing annual and quarterly accounts required under the solicitors’ regulations, including resolution of any queries or issues Preparation of Tax filings (VAT, Corporation Tax and Partnership Form 1) Provide financial data and analysis to support tax addback The Person: Strong Excel skills and at least 2 yrs PQE I n Financial/Management Accounting role ACA Chartered or ACCA Certified Accountant Good track record of system expertise and process improvements Advanced MS Excel skills Ability to handle a high volume of work, demonstrating excellent administration skills and attention to detail. Aptitude for building relationships, influencing upwards and laterally, taking ownership of tasks, and keeping colleagues informed of progress.
