Purpose of the Role: This role involves following predefined test processes to ensure the delivery of products through advanced technical experience. You’ll be a key player in leading test activities, ensuring products are delivered efficiently, on time, and to specification. Role Dimensions: There may be periods when overtime is required to meet customer deadlines. Principal Accountabilities: Lead and manage test activities, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery. Supervise and support test technicians. Work independently and coordinate the work of others to meet project objectives. Propose and implement process improvements. Perform and prepare test activities during product manufacturing. Conduct electronics assembly inspections. Utilize bench-top test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and multimeters. Diagnose and fault-find electronic circuits and assemblies to the component level. Follow test procedures and maintain technical documentation to ensure full traceability. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving zero defects, following ISO9001 standards.Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: GCSE grades or equivalent in English and Maths. ONC, HNC, or equivalent in an electronic discipline (required). Comprehensive understanding of IPC standards. Familiarity with industry regulations to ensure safety in equipment operations. Proficiency developed through job-related training and on-the-job experience. Basic PC skills. Strong time management and attention to detail. Commitment to continuous improvement processes.
